Day 6: Montenegro, Kosovo

Today we will go to Peja, Kosovo to visit one of the projects that we have been raising money for, Mine Awareness Trust. Please support their cause. www.justgiving.org/overland2oz

92662- Still following the Podgorica signs in Montenegro > Kosovo bound. We must stop along the way because the view is absolutely stunning and take some video and photos.
92747- 20L (20 EU)
92776- Kosovo!!! > Compulsory insurance at border, 50 EU, we knew this was way too high and sure enough we were ripped off. Things would soon get better, much better! Danny, Ben, and Arthur rolled out the red carpet and met us at the border. They are not only surprised to meet 2 girls showing up in a 1969 Baja Beetle, but were very grateful towards our fundraising efforts benefitting the Mine Trust project. www.justgiving.com/overland2oz
92791- Pec or as the local say it, Peja. MAT Project http://www.minesawareness.org/ house.
Zzzz's: MAT HOUSE in Peja. Danny and Ben, MAT trust founder, are true gentlemen. Not only did they welcome us to the MAT house, but generously offered their bedrooms to Fiona and I and treated us to a Kosovar meal from Zippy's Mom's restaurant, Cow brains?! Delicious!!! along with bottomless Montenegro red wine. Thanks for the hospitality! Danny and Ben were heading back to London early the following morning and we considered ourselves very lucky to have met them in Peja. Artur, the local project manager, will take us to the minefields tomorrow.
